Stampin' Kids

These are just a few of the pictures that show the tatoo frenzy that my niece and nephew were in after I gave them each a Stampin' Kids set. I think they had 6 tatoos that first night. Guess that makes me the World's Greatest Aunt right? These were almost as much fun for me to use on the kids as they had wearing them. :)

A few handmade Christmas presents

These are a few of the Christmas presents that I made my family this year. The first two are coloring books that I printed up for my niece and nephew. The next is a glass jar I recycled and decorated so my sister in law could start trying the Odorless Mineral Spirits technique with her colored pencils. I also made her a matching notebook. The last three notebooks were for my parents and my brother. Can you tell I'm loving my new pink Bind It All and my Paper Gator? I'm so proud of myself for using my stash and making presents at the same time!

Love You Much Bundle and C&C in one!

I'm really getting hooked on the Sudsol Chat & Challenges. It's so fun to take an old sketch and make it "new" with current products. This card was quick and came out pretty cute. What more can you ask for right?

CFS Christmas Cards

Here are a few pictures of the 700 Christmas cards that I made for our troops. I'm a bit disappointed in myself. I had commited to making 1000 cards and fell short by 300. Darn those two jobs and only 24 hours a day!

Frosty the Snowman Card and Treat Bags

Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you the super cute Frosty the Snowman cards and treat bags I made for my niece's school Christmas party. I got the idea for the Frosty cards from my upline, Dawn Griffith. She's the best!

Color Challenge Card

There I was, out of inspiration and wanting to make a card. So I hopped on to SCS and went to the current color challenge. Hmmm, Riding Hood Red, Taken With Teal and Baja Breeze. Interesting, so I decided to see what I would come up with. I'm really not loving this card but it did help me get back into the creative groove.

Sudsol Mystery Challenge

I'm a member of Sudsol, a SU! demonstrator only group. The other day I got an email with this teaser.

"Love mysteries? Love DSP and paper folding? Then I have a challenge for you."

One of the group organizers was looking for a few volunteers to make some samples for a folding/origami technique. As I'm pretty much always up for a challenge, I quickly replied that I would love to play along. Here is what I came up with. I hope you like it!

After I got the wreath made and the card mostly assembled I realized that I didn't like the "dead space" in the center of the wreath. So after some trial and error I came up with the ever popular scallop circle. I do like how the wreath design echoes the design of the Frosty Day DSP. This was so not what I had pictured in my head but I'm still happy with the result. Have a great day Stampers!

Supplies:

CS: Old Olive, Bashful Blue, Whisper White

Pattern Paper: Frosty Day DSP

Stamp: Best Yet Hostess Set

Ink: Kiwi Kiss

Misc.: Scallop Circle Punch, Dazzling Diamonds, light green ribbon

The Good News and The Bad News

Well I guess I will start off with the bad news, get it over with. I was looking for a certain book tonight for my brother and as I was taking books off the shelf to look at the back row (yes I have that many books that they are double and triple stacked) I found that water had leaked through the outside wall, through the bookshelf back wall and on to my books! There was mold!!!!! I almost cried! My books, my precious books! If you know me then you know how much I read and adore books. So needless to say that will be my project tomorrow. I will have to actually throw away some of the books. They are too far gone. I'm all choked up thinking about it now. :(

The good news is that I finally found my camera! YAY! YAY! I have been so lost without it. I was almost to the point where I was going to buy another one, so I'm really glad it finally showed back up.

The other good news is that we got our annual Christmas pictures in and now I can scrap them. These were by far our best pictures of the family and the kids. I love this new tradition we started 3 years ago. Just adds another layer to the family memories of the holidays, ya know?

Ok, time to sleep I think. Goodnight stampers!

A little bit late Birthday Card

Hi everyone! I still haven't found my camera but I borrowed my father's. What a pain! Anywhoo, my father asked me to make his step mother a birthday card. He neglected to mention, until I was almost done, that he forgot her birthday and was sending the card late. Oh well, I think I pulled it off. This was my first time making a corner punch medallion. Very interesting technique! The master of this technique is Becca Feeken, her blog is Amazing Paper Grace and I salivate over every card she makes! Check her out!

Supplies used:

Card Stock: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Whisper White
Paper: Bashful Blue Patterns Pack, Vellum
Inks: Night of Navy
Accessories: SU! Chalks, Versamark, Clear Embossing Powder, Nestabilities Circle Dies, Cuttlebug, EK Success Corner Ardorner, Marvy Uchida Scallop Corner Punch, White sheer ribbon

Thanks for looking. Have a great day!

C&C 146

This is my first Chat & Challenge card from Sudsol. The object is to chat while making a card using a sketch from previous Stampin' Success magazines. This was a quick card and I got to use my favorite things, the color pink and butterflies!
